Terms of use
Last updated: January 2026
By downloading or using Cordsy (the "App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. You should read them carefully before using the App.
1. License Grant
Cordsy grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App for personal or professional creative projects. You may use the patterns generated by Cordsy to create and sell physical end-products (finished string art pieces). However, you are prohibited from reselling, redistributing, or sub-licensing the digital patterns or templates themselves.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Service: Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions managed through RevenueCat.
Billing: Payments are processed through your Apple ID or Google Play account.
Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s subscription settings. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Refunds: All billing is handled by Apple/Google. We cannot issue refunds directly; you must contact the respective App Store support for refund requests.
3. DIY Safety & Disclaimer (The "Maker" Clause)
User Responsibility: Cordsy provides digital guides for physical DIY projects. You acknowledge that using tools (hammers, nails, wood) carries inherent risks.
No Liability: Cordsy and its developers are not responsible for any physical injury, property damage, or hardware failure resulting from your DIY projects or the use of our templates.
Accuracy: While our algorithms are highly precise, we provide the App "as is" without any warranty regarding the final physical result.
4. Intellectual Property
The App, including its code, design, and original algorithms, remains the sole property of Cordsy. You may not attempt to extract the source code, translate the App into other languages, or make derivative versions.
5. Public Domain Art
Cordsy provides a gallery of public domain artworks for your convenience. While we believe these images are in the public domain in most jurisdictions, it is your responsibility to ensure your use of these images complies with your local laws.
6. Changes to Terms
We may update our Terms of Use from time to time. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction, and any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate local courts.
